Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday January 13th, 2020 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Ila. Beloved father of Heather Nelli (Gerry) & Heidi Caruso (Rick). Cherished grandfather of Jordan and Chelsea Nelli (Drew) and Nicholas and Madison Caruso. Son of the late Clifford & late Pearl McCrea. Dear brother of the late Jim Burne (Patsy), Gary (late Judy) and Ronnie (Lyla). Son-in-law of the late Annie and Frank Murray. Brother-in-law of the late Gerry Murray (Bessie) and the late Innis Murray. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. We hope that Merl’s family & friends will join us in celebration of his life to share memories at Sandro’s Family Banquet Hall on February 1st, 2020 from 1pm – 5pm. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of 3B for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Booth and nurse Kim. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
