Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with family by his side on Friday December 27, 2019 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Beaton). Cherished father of Ann, Keith, David (Paula) and Teresa Michel (Mark). Grandfather of Nancy, Sarah, Justine, Eilish and Owen. Great Grandfather of Darren Lamming and future baby Pease. Predeceased by his parents Leslie and Minnie Cook. Brother of the late Thayer (Beverley), late Stanley (late Julie), Malcolm (late Lillian), Jessie Keeley (late Ralph) (late Paul Adelvard). Jasper will be missed by the Beaton family and his many nieces and nephews. Jasper was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Family and friends are invited to visit at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St. 705-759-8456) on Monday December 30, 2019 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at 11:00am at Precious Blood Cathedral with Father Hamish Currie officiating. Interment in Holy Sepulchre. The family would like to thank Collegiate Heights for the care given to Jasper, as well as the Sault Area Hospital Emergency and 3B nurses and Dr. Andrew Ip for the care given to him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District (payable by cheque).
