Peacefully at ARCH, with his family by his side on Sunday December 22, 2019 at the age of 73. Loving husband of Maureen. Cherished father of Mike (Brynlea) Matt (Christina Damignani), the late Phillip and the late Trisha. Grandpa Bruce to Michaela, Cameron, Cole, Rhiannon, Sophie and Genna. Predeceased by his parents Harvey and Selena Barbeau. Brother of the late Wayne (Edith), late Barry, Paul (Margaret), John (Charlene) and the late Judy. Family and friends are invited to A Celebration of Life for Bruce on Saturday December 28, 2019 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Thank you to Dr. Tracy Hayes and the entire staff at Oak Lodge in Sudbury for allowing Bruce to have quality of life, while maintaining his dignity and his unique sense of humour for His last 6 months. He almost made it back to the Soo to Long Term Care. Thank you to Heather and Chris at the Sault Area Hospital for supporting Bruce while at Oak Lodge. Thank you to Dr. Booth and Dr. Kuntz for Bruce’s end of life care. To the staff at ARCH, you are all Angels, you made Bruce’s brief stay at ARCH comfortable for Him, while being so entirely comforting to the family. Thank you to Shelagh and Jack, Lena and Edith for all your support given to the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oak Lodge-North Bay Regional Health Centre, ARCH or the Down Syndrome Association of Ontario (payable by cheque).
