Obituary for Chester Thomas Alexander Odber

Chester Thomas Alexander Odber
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Chester Thomas Odber at ARCH Hospice on June 14, 2017. Beloved husband of June, much loved father of Dean (Lenore), the late Dwayne, Lorrie McKinnon (Chris), Gerri-Lynn Odber and Judy Coutts (Darren). Chester is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Son of the late John and Margaret Odber. Brother of John (June), Joe (Elois), the late Kathleen (Fred) Merriman and the late Billy. Chester will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Chester surrounded himself daily with the support of his “Club 14” family for over 35 years. Dad often said if it hadn’t been for the AA Program he would never of survived to the age of 87. Chester loved hunting, fishing, trapping and had a great love for the outdoors. Our family would like to thank all the Dr.’s and Nurses at the SAH, CCAC, WeCare and the Red Cross for all their support and care over the last few years. Dad spent his last days at ARCH Hospice surrounded by his family and friends. As per Chester’s wishes there will be no visitation. A private graveside service was held. Memorial donations can be made to “Club 14” 236 John St. or to ARCH and would be appreciated by the family. Rest in Peace Dad, your long journey in this life is over. You are free now to be reunited with your son who you missed so much. Until we meet again. You will always be loved and missed.
