It is with heavy hearts, we the family of Donald announce his sudden and unexpected death on Saturday February 3, 2018 in his 73rd year. He is in the loving arms of his deceased parents (Bill and Mary Lothrop). Donald also leaves behind his many siblings, Eddy (Bernadette), Darleen Hayward (Hayward), Bunny Lidstone (Jim), the late Sharon, Patricia Charron (late Ron), Geraldine Guise (late Pee-Wee), Mildred Wood (Clarence), Barbara Walls (Kenneth), Steve, the late Robert, Mary Dunster (Ken), Susan, Donna Sutherland (Earl), Billy and the late Michael. Donald was the special friend to the late Claudette Shaw. He was the special Papa to Megan, Raven and Treanna whose father is Darrell Shaw. Donald was the uncle to many nieces, nephews and leaves behind many cousins. Donald left his beloved dog, Chocolate in the care of his loving sister Darleen, who has taken care and been there for him in all the years that he has needed her care and support. Donald you were the oldest out of all of us. You have fought a hard battle, so now it is time to go and be with Daddy, Mama and our brother Michael. Cremation and a private family service will be held. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Great Northern Retirement Home, the many doctors, especially Dr. Berry for the care given to Donald. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association of Canada ort the Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
